Area Introduction

This area start with you at the submerging sea shuttle station. You are hunting at this area to collect Oxygen Canisters to supply you with oxygen for under the sea travel.

The trick to this area is to save a lot of oxygen (I would go by 500 per dive at least, the reason will be explained later on). Then dive into the beautiful sea to gather materials needed to upgrade your hydro traps.

Step 1 – Oxygen Collection

Before you can dive into this mysterious sea that hidden the ancient sunken city, you have to gather Oxygen Canisters to supply your ship with oxygen so you can hunt safely under the sea.

  • As soon as you travelled to the Sunken City, arm your strongest hydro trap
  • If you are following my guide, the best Hydro Trap right now would be Phantasmic Oasis Trap
  • Preferably use Gouda or Brie cheese in this area at first
  • Continue hunting in this area until you have collected around 400-500 Oxygen Canisters
  • Once you reach the above amount of oxygen canisters, click on the “dive” button to start your under the sea adventure. Note: upon diving it will consume 10 Oxygen Canisters.
  • NOTE: After your first run through this area and got a handful of materials, you can purchase the Fishy Fromage from the Sunken City cheese shoppe to help you attract more mice with oxygen canisters.

Step 2 – Material Collection

Once you are under the sea, here is what will happen;

  • Every successful hunts will advance you 30 meters.
  • Every missed hunts will advance you 10 meters.
  • Every failure to attract hunts will give you no progress.
  • Once you run out of oxygen canisters you will be sent back to the dock and you will required to recollect oxygen canisters again.
  • The deeper you go the better the reward you will get, and this is the reason why I recommend you save at least 400-500 oxygen canisters before diving down.
  • In this area there are 3 major zones, Shallow Shoals, Sea Floor and Murky Depths. Each of these zones also contain a random sub special zones. The following table shows the zones and the loot drop in each;

Here is what you need to do down here;

  • The main goal here is to collect enough materials to purchase the better hydro trap, Rune Shark Trap then upgrade it to School of Sharks (The best hydro trap yet).
  • Again arm your best hydro trap setup with gouda or brie cheese
  • Optional items that could aid you in this area(but require you to have some of the material from this area already)
    • Water Jet Charms – give you 500 meters progress per successful hunt
      • This charm can be purchased with
        • 3,000 gold
        • 3 Sand Dollars
        • 50 of each  Damaged Coral Fragments, Mouse Scales and Barnacles
    • Empowered Anchor Charmsslow down to 10 meters per hunt (particularly useful when you want to stay at the depth zone with the loot you are interested in)
      • This charm can be crafted with
        • 1 Flawless Orb
        • 1 Scrap Metal
        • 40 Charmbits
    • Supply Packs from the General store, if you have overwhelming amount of one or two particular type of materials but lacking the others.
      • Barnacle and Coral Pack
        • 21 – 24 Barnacles
        • 21 – 24 Damaged Coral Fragments
      • Barnacle and Scale Pack
        • 21 – 24 Mouse Scales
        • 21 – 24 Barnacles
      • Coral and Scale Pack
        • 21 – 24 Mouse Scales
        • 21 – 24 Damaged Coral Fragments
  • When are you in the sea, you can click on the Sonar Periscope to have a wider view of the area.

    Wow! Most of the info here is really good, but I definitely wouldn’t recommend storing up 500 oxygen before doing your first dive! Collecting oxygen with regular cheese is painfully slow, so it makes way more sense to dive after you collect 100 or so, go as far as you can, then use your loot from the dive to get Fishy Fromage, which collects oxygen much faster, and just cycle up to more and more oxygen. I did my first dive with 100 oxygen, and got enough loot for 80 FF. Starting hunting for oxygen again this morning, and so far I have gotten almost 50 oxygen with less than 20 pieces of FF – far better than the rate using regular cheese.

    A lot of good information. Personally I have not been past 15 km yet but from what i hear Murky Depths are not discontinued after 25 km nor are Monster Trenches. The table seems misleading there. Maybe add two lines on the bottom, which are empty for every depths but >25 km and enter LotA and MF there?

    I also agree about 500 o2 seeming extremely tedious. 100-200 are painful enough.
