[AMHU] Feedback Art Friday Review 19th April 2013

April 21, 2013 3 comments

This week’s Feedback Art Friday from MouseHunt, Jacob drew a nice mouse for the upcoming new area, which he revealed to be the “WILD WEST”. Jacob also talked about ideas of new mice will be in the new area during the beginning of the stream, here is a list that he generally mentioned:

  • Front Tier Doctor
  • Bounty Hunter
  • The Drifter Mouse
  • The Undertaker Mouse

During the recording he drew a sort of “bounty hunter” style mouse, but the name of the mouse had not yet being determined. Anyway aren’t you excited? I know I am! I took a few screenshots of the completed drawing in the live stream below.

This event is new and it’s subject to change, please come back frequently or follow our facebook page to get updated!

Last Update – April 12th 2013
– Upaded the extended end date
– Added Sustainable High Charge Egg Hunt Strategy

As we approach towards Easter, The Chocolate Factory had again reopened this year in Kingdom of Gnwania! This mean this year’s Spring Egg Hunt festival starts now!

No surprise like Clockwork last year, some trouble-maker had came to mess up the party, and hatched a plan to sabotage the Eggcavator, making it impossible for hunters to track down eggs!

So what are we waiting for? Let’s get “hunting”, before the event ends on Monday, April 22nd (extended due to major server issue since the April 11th)!

Steps to successfully start the egg hunt!

Step 1 – Travel to the Chocolate Factory!

Note: Got the Eggscavator from past years? If no go to General Store to buy one, else move to step 2!

Step 2 – Check if you have any remaining Marshmallow Monterey

YES? – Arm them and go to step 4!

NO? – Move to step 3!

Step 3 – Arm any cheese that you can afford using (Recommends at least Brie) and hunt in the area with a trap that has high luck and attraction to collect Marshmallow Monterey.

EggIU2

Step 4 – Arm your Marshmellow Monterey and hunt with your highest luck/attraction setup to collected the first 9 eggs illustrated in grey in the HUD (Head Up Display). Eggs are drop by Egg Painter Mouse. (Recommends you hunt with Dark Chocolate Charm, though it does attract harder mice, but does not increase drop rate as far as I tested, in fact it gave more FTA/FTC)

Note: You need to switch to your strongest Arcane/Forgotten Trap Setup if you are using Dark Chocolate Charm.

EggIU3

Note: The Gift can either be hunted or obtain as a gift!

EggIU4

Step 5 – After obtaining the first 9 eggs, you will need to defeat the Scrambler to collect the last Golden Egg. (Highly recommends you to use a Eggstra Charm to get 2 Golden Egg instead of one, since this egg drop SB+)

Note: Eggstra Charms can be smashed to get 20 Dark Chocolate Charms, if Dark Chocolate is what you after, you can get them that way instead of spending gold.

Step 6 – After collection all the eggs you should able to recalibrate you Eggscavator once again! Now you can go around the whole kingdom to hunt down mice for eggs!

Egg Hunt Tips

Screenshot_4

As you may have notice, there is this Eggscavator Charger Charm in the shoppe.  The effect of the Eggscavator Charger Charm is that on each successful hunt, it will be used and give you +1 Charge. Base on the total charge you have, you will have chance to get Low, Medium or High Charged Egg.

The charge meter:

1 – 12 charges will get you low charged eggs

13-17 charges will get you medium charged eggs

18 -20 charges will get you high charged eggs

Upon reaching full charge at 20 charges, there are two things you can do:

1) Disarm the Eggscavator Charger Charm and the charges will be decreased 1 by 1 base on your successful hunts. As your charges decrease you will start getting from high charged eggs to medium to low charged eggs base on which charge range you are in. (This way is to save your Eggscavator Charger Charms)

2) Continue arming the Eggscavator Charger Charm, this way you will main at full charge at all time and only get high charged eggs.  (This way requires a lot of Eggscavator Charger Charms, might not be economical)

Recommended Method

Disarm the Eggscavator Charger Charm at full charge, arm it back once it drop below the range you are aiming for. Let say you only want high charge eggs, once the charge drop to 17, rearm the charm until regaining full charge. Likewise you are aiming for medium to high charged eggs rearm when drop to 12 charges.

Sustainable High Charge Egg Hunt Strategy

Locations

  • One of the good place could be Chocolate Factory, the reason is that you can collect MM cheese while you are doing the cycle there
  • Else you can go to any area that give you high catch rates

Cycle

1. Charge to 20 charges (full)

2. Arm your Eggstra Charm and continue hunting till charge drop to 17

3. Arm back the Eggscavator Charge Charm and charge back to full (20)

4. Repeat 1 to 3 until you runs out of Eggscavator Charge Charms and go to step 5

5. When you are out of Eggscavator Charge Charms, let the charge drop to 12 with or without Eggstra Charm (It’s up to you to have Eggstra Charm on hunting the medium charge egg or not) This process will get you some medium charge eggs

6. When reach to 12 charge, smash all your medium charge eggs to obtain supply of MM cheese (Each medium charge egg drop 2-5 MM). Then go purchase back some more Eggscavator Charge Charm in Chocolate Factory.

7. Now go back to step 1

Note: Before you go to sleep it’s best to leave it at full charge (considering you are only sleeping for 6 – 7 hours) However you need to consider that friends do take you on hunt for the first hour when you are still online in the system. So totally “number of hours of sleep + 1” = “trap checks + 1”. Taking those into account to adjust the charge you should be at before you go sleep to maintain yourself at the bottom of medium charge when you wake up.

Event ends on: 18th of March

First HAPPY 5th BIRTHDAY MOUSEHUNT! Would of bored to death without you for the past 5 years! 😛

The very first thing you should do is press “TRAVEL” and you will see the following screen:

ronza_travel

Without doubts you will press “Yes! Let’s Go!”

Arriving at Ronza’s store you will find some sparkling and powerful traps and trap upgrades. Let’s analysis them below!

Trapsmith Analysis

UMMMBT

First impression you will be like “WTF A GUNDAM?” , anyway it’s a relatively weak physical trap for low rank hunters. However it’s definitely worth collecting just from the looks of it.

Checking the side you will see it requires some trap parts, the first 5 colored robot parts are obtained from hunting mice in the event area. (more detail on that in the event guide later) and the Repurposed Robot head can be purchased from the General Store for 100,000 gold.

IIBS

This is a very interesting trap/skin set for hunters that are currently hunting in Tribal Isles. This set contains 1 trap and 2 skins listed below:

IIT

This trap comes with the basic skin with in total 3 different skins with this box set!

IIHS

IISS

So why is this interesting? The interesting thing about this trap with 3 different skins is that each skin has magical effect towards each of the area in Tribal Isles, where mice will drop double the crafting loots!

  • Basic Skin – Effective with Derr Dunes Mice – double Delicious Stones Loot
  • Isle Idol Hydroplane Skin – Effective with Elub Mice – double Seashells Loot
  • Isle Idol Stakeshooter Skin – Effective with Nerg Mice – double Savory Vegetables Loot

TRT

This is a GREAT substitution for the ABT. Hunters that are doing Acolyte Realm should totally priorities this trap! (Tho it requires 2m more points to equip compare to ABT)

CMBUK

Now comes the BEAST!!! This is a MUST get for those hunters that have the Sandstorm MonstroBot in hand. This Upgrade Kit ultimately improves your MonstroBot in every stats. Let’s look at the improvements below!

Comparison Sandstorm MonstroBot Chrome MonstroBot
Power 8,000 8,500 (+500)
Power Bonus 20% 22% (+2%)
Attraction Rate 5% 10% (+5%)
Luck 27 30 (+3)

Note: Don’t worry if you happen to miss out on this expensive trap upgrade this year, Dev had hinted that this upgrade will appear again with Ronza. (Source Here)

How to use the upgrade kit?

  1. Go to Inventory > Crafting and smash your Sandstorm MonstroBot
  2. Craft your Sandstorm Monstrobot parts with the Chrome MonstroBot Upgrade Kit
  3. Here a legendary physical trap had being born!

    • The above 3 charms can help with the mini games at Living Garden/Twisted Garden.
  • Extra Coarse Salt + 2 Ber Essences + 1 Divine Orb = 1 Super Salt Charm
    • Double the hunts against the King Grub

Charm Shoppe Analysis

  • Party Charm (Optional)
    • Used to attract additional “event mice” (does not increase attraction to the “Force Fighters”)
  • Mining Charm (Optional)
    • Extra effective against Digby Dirt Dwellers
  • Tarnished Charm (Recommended)

    • High resell-ability according to last year
  • Safeguard Charm (Optional)

    • For a always consumed charm, it’s way too expensive!

    • However expensive

Now you just need to keep hunting with the Ultra MegaMouser MechaBot Trap and catch the boss mouse Super FighterBot MegaSupreme.

Getting all birthday bases

  • Cheesecake Base – Drop by Sleepwalker/Pintail Mouse/BucketHead Mouse
  • Birthday Cake Base – Drop by Birthday Mouse
  • Chocolate Birthday Cake Base – Drop by Terrible Twos Mouse
  • Carrot Birthday Cake Base – Drop by Dinosuit Mouse

Trap Setup

These fighters can be caught using your strongest trap available (recommends tactical power type). Again follows the same old event trap setup rules: with sufficient power then take the following priorities :

Attraction > Luck > Power

Why?

The reason that I recommend hunters to have just enough power then stack up luck and attraction is because the luck will compensate the lack in power, while most low power trap/bases has great amount of attraction rate. (e.g Wooden Base with Target). Having setup like so will help hunters attracting more of the event mice.

Cheese Choice

Normal cheese is fine (e.g Brie, Gouda), however SB+ will have a way higher chance of attraction the “Force Fighters”.

Collect and equip Rockforth Cheese from mice at Ronza’s Traveling Shoppe to draw out the elusive Rockstar Mouse.

Charms

Note that arming Party Charm will have the following additional mice available to be attracted:

  • Derpicorn Mouse
  • Elven Princess Mouse
  • Cook Mouse
  • Pie Thief Mouse
  • Bear Mouse

Using Valentine Charms here would be a great help, since the base power needed to maintain effectiveness is rather high, so low end event traps like tacky glue/2012 Big Boom Trap are not so effective here. So the extra boost of Attraction Rate with Valentine Charms will be useful.

Side Notes

Like and Share this guide to your hunter friends and help them to get started with this awesome event!

[AMHU] Feedback Friday Review Mar 1st 2013

Question and Answers

Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: We are working on MH birthday
Q: Is MouseHunt headquarter a tea house or coffee house?
A: Art department is a Tea House and the Programming department is a coffee house
Q: Can we get accept and send option on gift claim page?
A: It’s available on the drop down page (menu/notification), we also wants it on the Gift Claim page as well. Due to the fact that we may need to change a bit of the layout so it might take a little while before it will be possible.
Q: No beer in MouseHunt?
A: Probably never will have beer in MouseHunt, just because Facebook has content rules. “Just imagine a beer trap”?, “We have a Living Garden why not a Beer Garden”? (Too bad those ideas won’t be possible)
Q: How many mice are right handed?
A: They are all right handed or two handed.
Q: Inspiration for Larry the Knight?
A: Larry was designed to be the only NPC, the helper. He was created to be an intro/text guy. Later on we adapted him to do a lot more roles and explain all the areas for the hunters. Later on we added the code to make him hunt, he is rich and a rule breaker guy with 97 million points and still a knight. As of the art it wasn’t base on anyone, it was all about the mustache.

Next event coming up is MouseHunt Birthday
