[AMHU] Feedback Friday Art Edition Review May 10th 2013

This week Jacob the “MouseHunt Art Wizard” drew another Wild West theme mouse, where the week before last week was the Undertaker and this week is something more epic! This week’s theme was started base on Giorgio’s idea of Bon Jovi themed mouse – wanted dead or alive song.

So at the end the idea came to a cowboy with a steam engine robotic horse. First the horse was being drawn by following one of the viewers’ link to a steam punk horse. The finish sketch of the mechanical horse is shown below:

Mechanic Horse

Then Jacob moved on to drawing the cowboy riding the fearsome horse and end up with the epic and awesome art work at the end. Below are a 2 screen shots that I had taken from Jacob’s recording.

Cowboy_robotic horse

Final_cowboy with robot horse

Jacob had done his magic again! Another pure awesome mice had being summoned! Really can’t wait till the release of the Wild West area and start catching these wonderful mice.

That’s it for this week, hope you enjoy the FBF Art Edition Review by Asia MouseHunt Union Guide. Subscribe the blog or like our facebook page to get updates on more MouseHunt news and FBF next week!

[AMHU] Feedback Friday Review 3rd May 2013

May 3, 2013 5 comments

This week is the first Feedback Friday (FBF) of May sadly there weren’t any spoilers this week, but just mainly Q&A.

Recent Tweaks/Updates

  • This week the inventory had updated with new tabs for the special and collectibles sections. Check out our news post for full descriptions of all the features.

943476_494122047308452_297275276_n

  • Trap rendering upgraded – the mini animation effect when changing trap setup. This upgrade had also improved the performance of setup change process. Now you won’t get a mice shaking its head when changing setup and it’s rather instant now. (Note: when opening up the trap/base list, the loading time is still there)

Question & Answers

  • When will we get something more than just open all or one?
    • Due to the complexity of the code for inventory right now, it is rather hard to implement, so it’s not going to be worked on till later
  • Will we get individual mouse scoreboards?
    • Right now we are using the older systems
    • We had found smarter systems tho
    • However improving game performance and new contents have top priorities so this will not be worked on yet
  • When will the rest of the Rfitwalk set be coming?
    • It’s not currently in production, it will be worked on in the near future

Franco’s joke of the new content?

  • “We are building the ship today, you will be buying parts to build it. It will take you to the new island!”
    • The devs over reacted when Franco said it like a spoiler (Just think this is worth mentioning)

Anyway that’s the most interesting things in this week’s FBF. Thanks for reading this review brought to you by AsiaMH Union Guide! Subscribe the blog or like our facebook page to get updates on more MouseHunt news and FBF next week!

Inventory Tweak Update

April 29, 2013 1 comment

As mentioned before in April 12th’s Feedback Friday, Dev was going to upgrade the inventory to make it more organized, with the addition of categories and multiple tabs all together in one place. Not long later it’s finally here! I will take you all through the new features added in this update.

Last updated: 4th of May 2013

  • Firstly as can be seem from the screen shot below, now all individual sections under the inventory is all in one place with the use of multiple tabs on the top. Where as before we had to go down the inventory menu at the top to visit each place.
  • The first 5 tabs range from “cheese” to “special” remains the same user interface, how ever you will notice big changes had being done to the “Collectibles” tab. Now all collectibles are divided into categories, additionally you can click the category tabs on the left side to see the collectibles in specific group.

New Inventory

  • Recently they had also added tabs for the special section, makes it much easier to browse the specific items are you checking out.

943476_494122047308452_297275276_n

  • Another interesting feature would be the hover over feature where you can do specific actions to some of the collectibles by hovering your mouse over it and click the button.

INV-Hover

Personally I really like this minor changes to the inventory. Now it’s much easier to navigate and for the collectors, it’s much easier to browse their lovely collectibles! I was hope there will be categories added for the trap section to separate different types of trap types. Well the changes so far is pretty neat.

Anyway hope you all enjoy the changes so far! Happy Hunting!

[AMHU] Feedback Friday Review Art Edition 26th of April 2013

April 26, 2013 3 comments

This week’s Feedback Friday Art Edition, Jacob continue on drawing another mouse for the upcoming WILD WEST area. Last week he drew the Bounty Hunter, this week he decided to give the undertaker a go.

Let’s start with a little description about the undertaker. He is a mouse that carries a ruler and look for mice that lost their lives either to hunters or misfortunes. The undertaker measures the body size of a dead body and design a perfect fit coffin for it. Rumors says he is probably thousand years old and had made coffins for billions of dead mice. (Non-official description)

I had taken a few screenshots of the completed drawing from Jacob’s recording (the blurriness is due to the video quality, it’s on max already)

April 21, 2013 3 comments

This week’s Feedback Art Friday from MouseHunt, Jacob drew a nice mouse for the upcoming new area, which he revealed to be the “WILD WEST”. Jacob also talked about ideas of new mice will be in the new area during the beginning of the stream, here is a list that he generally mentioned:

  • Front Tier Doctor
  • Bounty Hunter
  • The Drifter Mouse
  • The Undertaker Mouse

During the recording he drew a sort of “bounty hunter” style mouse, but the name of the mouse had not yet being determined. Anyway aren’t you excited? I know I am! I took a few screenshots of the completed drawing in the live stream below.

[AMHU] Feedback Spoiler Friday Review April 12

April 12, 2013 2 comments

This week was tough and rough for MouseHunters and MouseHunt Devs, server was acting up since Wednesday. All the Devs had being sleeplessly working on getting it back up, so hold your rages and be patient and understanding. To further compensate the wait and frustration, FBF this week have tons of spoilers! YAY!

Server Issue Update

  • The server is being attacked by DDoS, to put it simple, it’s an bot attack that keep hitting certain pages over million and billion of times very frequently and cause the server to overload. If you want to know more about this google it up!
  • Devs are working on getting the server back up. In fact they are going to throw in the money to get the server security upgraded and the server should be back to normal in a couple of hours (from the time the FBF live stream was online)
  • PLEASE DON’T SPAM REFRESH ON THE MOUSEHUNT PAGE, it will cause more trouble for the server. Either wait till MouseHunt or AMHU fan page make an announcement or at most refresh once in 10 minutes to check if it’s back up. Thank you for your cooperation!

Upcoming Update Packages

Tournament Pack

  • Tournament Team leaders will gain the option to make their team open (public), so that hunters can simply self add themselves to the team without invitation, by just going to the team page and press “join”.
  • Tournament Team Emblems are being worked on, these emblems will need to be “crafted”, where the leader can choose from ranges of symbols and background combinations drawn by Jacob.
  • More tournament updates are coming in a whole pack

Cool Tweaks Pack

  • Updates for inventory pages
    • adding tabs instead of all at one place
    • introducing groups and categories to be more organized

New Contents Pack

  • Ideas of new contents have been generated and worked on, prototypes were planned to be done next Wednesday (Seems like it’s not LG additional content, it’s something brand new!)

Mobile Pack

  • New features and updates on the mobile MouseHunt app will be coming soon, sadly due to the DDoS attack to the server, Dave had to put this aside and the progress is slowed.

Treasure Pack

  • As promised and talked about before, new treasure maps with more challenging and fun features are already being worked on. The codes are done, but the contents are still lacking.

Alright that’s it, be patient and show some love to the endless working Devs that try to fix the server for us!

Note: This guide is subject to possible changes and new contents will be added frequently over the event. Please check back frequently to get updated!

Last Updated on 09/03/2013
– Updated Crushed Birthday Cake Drop
– Ways to obtain all birthday bases

Event ends on: 18th of March

First HAPPY 5th BIRTHDAY MOUSEHUNT! Would of bored to death without you for the past 5 years! 😛

The very first thing you should do is press “TRAVEL” and you will see the following screen:

ronza_travel

Without doubts you will press “Yes! Let’s Go!”

Arriving at Ronza’s store you will find some sparkling and powerful traps and trap upgrades. Let’s analysis them below!

Trapsmith Analysis

UMMMBT

First impression you will be like “WTF A GUNDAM?” , anyway it’s a relatively weak physical trap for low rank hunters. However it’s definitely worth collecting just from the looks of it.

Checking the side you will see it requires some trap parts, the first 5 colored robot parts are obtained from hunting mice in the event area. (more detail on that in the event guide later) and the Repurposed Robot head can be purchased from the General Store for 100,000 gold.

IIBS

This is a very interesting trap/skin set for hunters that are currently hunting in Tribal Isles. This set contains 1 trap and 2 skins listed below:

IIT

This trap comes with the basic skin with in total 3 different skins with this box set!

IIHS

IISS

So why is this interesting? The interesting thing about this trap with 3 different skins is that each skin has magical effect towards each of the area in Tribal Isles, where mice will drop double the crafting loots!

  • Basic Skin – Effective with Derr Dunes Mice – double Delicious Stones Loot
  • Isle Idol Hydroplane Skin – Effective with Elub Mice – double Seashells Loot
  • Isle Idol Stakeshooter Skin – Effective with Nerg Mice – double Savory Vegetables Loot

TRT

This is a GREAT substitution for the ABT. Hunters that are doing Acolyte Realm should totally priorities this trap! (Tho it requires 2m more points to equip compare to ABT)

CMBUK

Now comes the BEAST!!! This is a MUST get for those hunters that have the Sandstorm MonstroBot in hand. This Upgrade Kit ultimately improves your MonstroBot in every stats. Let’s look at the improvements below!

Comparison Sandstorm MonstroBot Chrome MonstroBot
Power 8,000 8,500 (+500)
Power Bonus 20% 22% (+2%)
Attraction Rate 5% 10% (+5%)
Luck 27 30 (+3)

Note: Don’t worry if you happen to miss out on this expensive trap upgrade this year, Dev had hinted that this upgrade will appear again with Ronza. (Source Here)

How to use the upgrade kit?

  1. Go to Inventory > Crafting and smash your Sandstorm MonstroBot
  2. Craft your Sandstorm Monstrobot parts with the Chrome MonstroBot Upgrade Kit
  3. Here a legendary physical trap had being born!

General Store Analysis

  • Repurposed Robot Head
    • Core item for building the Ultra MegaMouser MechaBot Trap
  • Blue Double DewDrop Powder + 2 Aleth Essences + 1 Flawless Orb = 1 BlueDouble Sponge Charm
  • Yellow Double Dewdrop Powder + 2 Ber Essences + 1 Divine Orb = 1 Yellow Double Dewdrop Charm
  • Red Double DewDrop Powder + 2 Ber Essences + 1 Divine Orb = 1 Red Double Sponge Charm
    • The above 3 charms can help with the mini games at Living Garden/Twisted Garden.
  • Extra Coarse Salt + 2 Ber Essences + 1 Divine Orb = 1 Super Salt Charm
    • Double the hunts against the King Grub

Charm Shoppe Analysis

  • Party Charm (Optional)
    • Used to attract additional “event mice” (does not increase attraction to the “Force Fighters”)
  • Mining Charm (Optional)
    • Extra effective against Digby Dirt Dwellers
  • Tarnished Charm (Recommended)
    • Each successful hunt will convert the charm into a Chrome Charm giving 3% attraction and 5 luck bonuses. (Consumption Upon Encounter for the Chrome Charm)
    • High resell-ability according to last year
  • Safeguard Charm (Optional)
    • Shields off the Cursed and Corrupt mice in Cursed City/Lost City (However always consumed)
    • For a always consumed charm, it’s way too expensive!
  • Grubling Bonanza Charm (Optional)
    • Triggers a Grubling Stampede upon successful catch with this charm armed. However make sure to de-equip it after starting the stampede. (Used for Sand Dunes)
    • However expensive

MouseHunt 5th Birthday Event Guide

Boss Fight

After purchasing the Ultra MegaMouser MechaBot Trap, a new HUD will appear

boss HUD

So as the HUD says, you need to arm your Ultra MegaMouser MechaBot Trap, after arming the trap another new HUD will appear

boss_HUD with trap

Now you just need to keep hunting with the Ultra MegaMouser MechaBot Trap and catch the boss mouse Super FighterBot MegaSupreme.

Each attack will deal 10 damage and the boss has a total of 100HP. So in 10 successful catches the boss will be defeated.

Upon defeating the Boss it will drop a Crushed Birthday Cake Base

Power: 185
Power Bonus: 3%

Getting all birthday bases

  • Cheesecake Base – Drop by Sleepwalker/Pintail Mouse/BucketHead Mouse
  • Birthday Cake Base – Drop by Birthday Mouse
  • Chocolate Birthday Cake Base – Drop by Terrible Twos Mouse
  • Carrot Birthday Cake Base – Drop by Dinosuit Mouse

Trap Setup

These fighters can be caught using your strongest trap available (recommends tactical power type). Again follows the same old event trap setup rules: with sufficient power then take the following priorities :

Attraction > Luck > Power

Why?

The reason that I recommend hunters to have just enough power then stack up luck and attraction is because the luck will compensate the lack in power, while most low power trap/bases has great amount of attraction rate. (e.g Wooden Base with Target). Having setup like so will help hunters attracting more of the event mice.

Cheese Choice

Normal cheese is fine (e.g Brie, Gouda), however SB+ will have a way higher chance of attraction the “Force Fighters”.

Collect and equip Rockforth Cheese from mice at Ronza’s Traveling Shoppe to draw out the elusive Rockstar Mouse.

Charms

Note that arming Party Charm will have the following additional mice available to be attracted:

  • Derpicorn Mouse
  • Elven Princess Mouse
  • Cook Mouse
  • Pie Thief Mouse
  • Bear Mouse

Using Valentine Charms here would be a great help, since the base power needed to maintain effectiveness is rather high, so low end event traps like tacky glue/2012 Big Boom Trap are not so effective here. So the extra boost of Attraction Rate with Valentine Charms will be useful.

Side Notes

Like and Share this guide to your hunter friends and help them to get started with this awesome event!

[AMHU] Feedback Friday Review Mar 1st 2013

Question and Answers

Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: We are working on MH birthday
Q: Is MouseHunt headquarter a tea house or coffee house?
A: Art department is a Tea House and the Programming department is a coffee house
Q: Can we get accept and send option on gift claim page?
A: It’s available on the drop down page (menu/notification), we also wants it on the Gift Claim page as well. Due to the fact that we may need to change a bit of the layout so it might take a little while before it will be possible.
Q: No beer in MouseHunt?
A: Probably never will have beer in MouseHunt, just because Facebook has content rules. “Just imagine a beer trap”?, “We have a Living Garden why not a Beer Garden”? (Too bad those ideas won’t be possible)
Q: How many mice are right handed?
A: They are all right handed or two handed.
Q: Inspiration for Larry the Knight?
A: Larry was designed to be the only NPC, the helper. He was created to be an intro/text guy. Later on we adapted him to do a lot more roles and explain all the areas for the hunters. Later on we added the code to make him hunt, he is rich and a rule breaker guy with 97 million points and still a knight. As of the art it wasn’t base on anyone, it was all about the mustache.

Spoilers:

Next event coming up is MouseHunt Birthday

Next week – Art FBF
Week after – Mobile FBF
